What do we offer?

At Saint Mary’s College, students become liberally educated women with the breadth of knowledge to understand the cultural, social, spiritual, and natural worlds in which we all exist. This breadth of vision enables each student to ground her specific major area of study in this larger context.

The College offers five degrees:

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.)
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.)
  • Bachelor of Music (B.M.)
  • Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.)

College Requirements for All Degrees

Students in all degree programs must complete a minimum of 128 semester hours of credit with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0. At least 60 semester hours of credit and least one-half of the major coursework must be competed at Saint Mary’s. A student must also complete the general education requirements for her particular degree, and the specific requirements for her major.  Click here for more information about degrees offered and requirements

Co-Exchange Program with The University of Notre Dame

Saint Mary’s academic program is complemented by a unique co-exchange program with Notre Dame. This relationship provides Notre Dame students the opportunity to share the small class atmosphere at Saint Mary’s while Saint Mary’s students benefit from the expanded course offerings at Notre Dame.

Outside the classroom Saint Mary’s students team up with Notre Dame students to produce the Observer, the Notre Dame/Saint Mary’s daily newspaper, and they add to the spirit of Notre Dame football weekends as members of the University of Notre Dame Marching Band. If a student’s interests are more athletic, Saint Mary’s and Notre Dame offer many co-sponsored club sports.
