The College recognizes the general educational value of travel and study abroad and cooperates as far as possible in enabling interested students to take advantage of such opportunities.

To be accepted for credit, the international program must meet the academic standards of Saint Mary’s College. Established programs administered by American colleges and universities are recognized.
Students from Saint Mary’s College have in recent years studied in France, Australia, Austria, Chile, Spain, Italy, Japan, Ireland, Mexico, Great Britain and India.

ROME PROGRAM – The Rome Program is designed for your sophomore year and you will find that it presents little disruption in your academic program if you are in the B.A. track. However, for the B.F.A. very careful scheduling is necessary in order to be able to complete the number of studio credits for the degree. In addition to courses taught in Rome and field trips throughout Italy, students who attend the Rome program often have an opportunity for travel to other parts of Europe during holidays and academic breaks.

SUMMER STUDY PROGRAM
S - In addition to the regular academic programs overseas, the College also offers summer programs for travel and study abroad in Ecuador, Europe, Honduras and South Korea. The European Summer Study Program offers significant opportunities for exposure to major monuments in the history of western art as well as contemporary art.

If you are interested in pursuing studies overseas, find more information on the international and intercultural learning opportunities at Saint Mary's at the Center for Women's InterCultural Leadership site.
