Saint Mary’s Knocks Off Tri-State

The Belles placed three players in double figures en route to a 51-45 win at Tri-State Tuesday evening in MIAA basketball action.

Saint Mary’s improves to 3-1 in league action and 5-7 overall while the Thunder dropped to 0-3 and 1-11 respectively.

The Thunder’s 45 points and 25.8 shooting effort were the lowest output for any team against the Belles this season.

Bridget Boyce tied her season high with 16 points to pace the Belles effort. Alison Kessler recorded 11 while Bridge Lipke rounded out the double figure scorers for the visitors with 10.

Erin Newsom continued her stellar freshman campaign pulling down 15 rebounds. The most of any Saint Mary’s player this season.
