Observer names SMC Tennis '03-'04 "Team of the Year" (May 14)
On the Saint Mary's tennis team, there are no individual standouts - there is one team that stands out.
As a result, the Saint Mary's tennis team has been named The Observer's 2003-04 Outstanding Team of the Year.
From the beginning, there was no doubt this team would be competitive. They won the 2003 MIAA Tournament and returned four key members from that team
TENNIS Belles win league by one point (Apr. 28)
After a season filled with plenty of close matches and inspiring play, Saint Mary's closed out its year on top Saturday winning the 2004 MIAA Tournament. The conference win reaffirmed the Belles dominance within the MIAA after a 2004 Team Title victory earlier

in the year. The Belles captured their fourth straight MIAA Tournament Title by a single point, beating out runner-up Albion College 79.5 to 78.5. ...press release

Belles fail to clinch crown (Apr. 19) 
The Belles couldn't take advantage of the home court and clinch the regular season crown as visiting Calvin toppled Saint Mary's 5-4 ...Cutler/Spriggle at #2 doubles and #3 Palombo/Gordon both win, Palombo and Cutler take singles matches.
Olivet no match for first place Belles (Apr. 17)
In winning 9-0, every Belles won in straight sets...Saint Mary's remains in first, showdown with second place Calvin to determine regular season champion
Belles top Kalamazoo 6-3 (Apr. 16) 
Last year, Kalamazoo was the only team that could stop Saint Mary's. The Belles have continued to prove, however, that a new year means a second chance, winning 6-3 Thursday for their second victory over Kalamazoo in the past week.
