Sister M. Francis Anne (Cecilia Ann Kintz) CSC (November 22,
1921 – May 17, 2007) Please, join in prayer of thanksgiving Sister Francis Anne was born in Terre Haute, IN to the
late Arthur and Catherine Cunningham Kintz. She was one of seven children
and is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Kintz, IN, and her brother,
Robert Kintz, AZ. Two brothers and two sisters predeceased her. Sister
is also survived by sisters-in-law: Marge Kintz and Norma Kintz, nephews:
Patrick and Michael, all of AZ; and nieces: Theresa and Carolyn. Other
survivors include grand nephews Randy, Colton and grand-niece, Crystal. Sister
received her BA degree from Saint Mary of the Wasatch, Salt Lake
City, UT in 1946 and her M. Ed from Loyola University,
IL, in
1964. She was a teacher and taught in elementary schools in IL, IN,
and MI for some 21 years and was supervisor and principal at Sacred
Heart, Fort Wayne IN. In 1970 she taught and helped in the office and
was then assigned to the Regional House in IL for clerical duties and
to assist in the office. These new duties were accomplished over the
next 14 years. Sister was accountant for Saint Mary’s School
for 3 years and librarian at Queen of All Saints School for the next
11 years, both schools in Michigan City, IN. Family needs, in 1998,
took Sister to Terre Haute, IN and the care of her sister, Elizabeth. Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home handled arrangements in Terre Haute,
IN, where visitation is Saturday, May 19, 2007, 10-12 noon and Vigil
service at 12 noon, both at St. Patrick’s Church.
