Reform Calculus

I have used the Hughes-Hallett book for several years with selected groups of students, all with strong high school preparation.

Using Java in CS 1

Saint Mary's first course in programming is in Java. The course was previously taught in C++.

Data Structures

This course is taught using C++ and builds on the experience with object oriented design begun in the first course.

Ethical Issues Involving the Internet

This was the subject of a semester long sabbatical during the spring of 1997. I make presentations on the subject to both technical and non-technical audiences.
