Required Activities

To earn the certificate students will integrate their intercultural learning from a range of experiences, but students are expected, at a minimum, to participate in the following activities:

Kickoff Retreat
Peer Mentoring Meetings (monthly)
Advising Meetings (bi-monthly)
Community-Based Learning (50 hours can be facilitated by OCSE, OMA, CWIL, or course-work)
Study Abroad (1 week -1 year)
Catalyst Trip
Inclusive Leadership Project (Can be financially supported by CWIL’s Bridging College with Community Partnership Grants)
Mentoring with a Local Community Leader (1 year)
Mentoring with an Inter/national Leader (1 year)
Capstone Retreat
Create e-portfolio of Intercultural Leadership

Demonstrate proficiency in 6 key areas
Incorporate 9 credit-hours of classes
Include a summative discipline-based reflection paper
