
Certificate in Intercultural Leadership
Required Activities
To earn the certificate students will integrate their intercultural learning from a range of experiences, but students are expected, at a minimum, to participate in the following activities:
- Kickoff Retreat
- Peer Mentoring Meetings (monthly)
- Advising Meetings (bi-monthly)
- Community-Based Learning (50 hours can be facilitated by OCSE, OMA, CWIL, or course-work)
- Study Abroad (1 week -1 year)
- Catalyst Trip
- Inclusive Leadership Project (Can be financially supported by CWIL’s Bridging College with Community Partnership Grants)
- Mentoring with a Local Community Leader (1 year)
- Mentoring with an Inter/national Leader (1 year)
- Capstone Retreat
- Create e-portfolio of Intercultural Leadership
- Demonstrate proficiency in 6 key areas
- Incorporate 9 credit-hours of classes
- Include a summative discipline-based reflection paper
