High School Educators Summer Conference
July 13 - 20, 2005
CWIL supports faculty and students active participation with groups and
organizations at the national and local level that are working for intercultural
understanding in efforts to increase the abilities, ambition, and success
of future leaders. Key to this goal, and in the tradition of the Sisters
of the Holy Cross, is the cooperation between educators at various levels,
and in particular the joining of high school and college faculties and
student bodies. In this way Saint Mary’s College is a mentor for
other educational institutions in their efforts to form the next generation
of women to be empowered leaders in an increasingly diverse society.
These programs contribute to CWIL’s goal of recruiting young women from across the nation because the participants recognize “Saint Mary’s College as a place where they can become fully empowered leaders in an increasingly diverse society.”
