Guidelines for Submitting and Interlibrary Loan Request
In order to receive your Interlibrary Loan as quickly as possible,
please follow these simple guidelines:
- Check the online
catalog, or ask for assistance from the reference librarian
to determine that the material you are requesting is not already owned
by Saint Mary's.
- Print clearly, and complete all necessary sections on the
request form. If you are using the online form, please make sure all the required boxes are filled.
- Provide an accurate mailing address and telephone
number so that we may contact you promptly when your materials have arrived, or if we have questions about your request.
- Indicate a date after which you will no longer need the items you
are requesting. Note that "ASAP" is not an option here. You must indicate an actual date, even
if it is "the last day of classes."
- Please do not use abbreviations when filling out request forms. If your citation
includes abbreviations, please consult the book "Periodical Title Abbreviations: By Abbreviation" (Reference collection:
Z6945.A2 P44 1983 v.1), or ask for assistance from the reference librarian to determine what those abbreviations stand for.
