DATE: January 25, 2007 French Film Festival at Saint Mary's College NOTRE DAME, Ind.— The Saint Mary’s College Department of Modern Languages brings the Tournées French Film Festival to the Michiana area for a second year. Five award-winning French films will be shown February 5 – 9 with English sub-titles. Admission is free and open to the public. All screenings take place at 7 p.m. in the Vander Vennet Theatre of the Saint Mary’s College Student Center. Events include: • Monday, Feb. 5: "Caché" (“Hidden”) is a psychological thriller, in which Georges and his wife Anne find their blissful lives overturned after receiving an anonymous tape. Free of Charge. • Tuesday, Feb. 6: "Moolaade" tells the story of six African girls fearing their ritual genital circumcision. In order to escape the ordeal two of them drown themselves while the others seek magical protection ('Moolaade').
