Contacts: "The Boys of the Lough" Performs at the Moreau Center for the Arts NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Boys of the Lough, called "one of the finest bands in Celtic traditional music" by "The New York Times," brings its Christmas program to the Saint Mary’s College Moreau Center for the Arts on Friday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in O’Laughlin Auditorium. The performance combines instrumentals with storytelling in the Celtic tradition. Through anecdotes of fairies and trolls, "The Boys of the Lough" appeals to families with tales of historical intrigue coupled with first-rate musicianship. The group has completed more than 60 tours of North America and celebrated more than 36 years as a band. Admission is $18 for adults, $17 for senior citizens, $16 for SMC/ND staff, and $15 for students. Tickets are available through the Saint Mary’s College Box Office by visiting Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. or by calling 574-284-4626. Shuttle service will be provided from the Bertrand, Clubhouse, and Science parking lots. The Moreau Center for the Arts celebrates its 50th anniversary during the 2006-2007 season. Named in honor of the Very Reverend Basil Anthony Moreau, C.S.C., the founder of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, the facility consists of O’Laughlin Auditorium, Little Theatre, Moreau Art Galleries, studios, workshops and classrooms.
