SAINT MARY’S REHABS HOME FOR REBUILDING TOGETHER

Saint Mary’s students, faculty, staff and alumnae donated $3,500 and worked for a full day to rehabilitate a South Bend home for Rebuilding Together, a community organization that improves the living conditions of low income, disabled and elderly homeowners.

As it turns out, however, it wasn’t just any home. Volunteers donated their time and talents to benefit Lorraine Zielinski, the mother of June Rhodes who works for Saint Mary’s Building Services.

Through Rebuilding Together and campus community donations, Lorraine’s home now has: a new roof and doors; upgraded electrical work; a new bathroom floor, toilet and vanity; freshly painted rooms; and new mini-blinds for all windows.
