Students NOTRE DAME, Ind.--Dr. Susan Cropp, a forensic investigator with the FBI in Quantico, will speak at Saint Mary's College this Saturday, Dec. 3, at 1:30 p.m. in Science Hall room 105. Her talk, which is open to the public, is the centerpiece of a daylong workshop for Trinity High School girls interested in science. "Throughout the day, students will uncover and solve a simulated murder and learn some science along the way, CSI-style," says Dr. Tom Fogle, professor of biology at Saint Mary's College. Saint Mary's senior biology major Trish Brewer organized the event, and will work with the high school girls on DNA analysis, fingerprinting, fiber samples and more. The Saint Mary's College Center for Women's InterCultural Leadership provided a grant for the workshop. The goal is to get girls actively involved in science, and encourage them to pursue the subject beyond high school. ### REPORTER'S NOTE: FBI investigator Dr. Susan Cropp will be available for interviews. You are also welcome to interview workshop participants throughout the day (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Science Hall). SMC05-68
