We have knowledgeable, interesting speakers ready to talk about their areas of expertise.

Colleges can be tremendous resources for their local communities, providing access to valuable programs, innovative ideas and accomplished people who are experts in a variety of fields. This brochure offers a sampling of the people at Saint Mary’s College who are a wealth of knowledge on topics that interest you and your organization.

For example:

• Accounting professor Claude Renshaw has been quoted in USA Today and is a regular guest on local television and radio shows during tax season. A certified public accountant, Renshaw describes taxes as the “ketchup on the beef Wellington of life.” His expertise is virtually unmatched, and few people can make the subject so palatable!

• Social work professor JoAnn Burke is an advocate for Indiana’s aging and elderly population. She was appointed by the late Governor Frank O’Bannon to serve on the board of Community and Home Options to Institutional Care for the Elderly and Aging (CHOICE), and was recently named “Educator of the Year” by REAL Services. Burke is valued in this community and beyond as both an educator and practitioner for her timeless wisdom.
