Female as a Sex Object
This is the most common way that females are depicted in advertising. They are usually passive, subservient to men, and sometimes barely clothed.
While the language of this ad talks about how she would rule the world someday (implied that the day is today), the positioning of her body and the product are sending of a different message. She sits on the chair with her legs spread apart, something that is considered "un-ladylike" with the focus of the ad on the product, which is positioned a little above her lap. Her lowered head and raised eyes suggest that she is not willing to look directly at anything, but is more reluctant to the idea of ruling the world.
