Post-Graduate Opportunities in Working for Peace and Justice

Christian Peacemaker Teams (worldwide): This is a program of active peacemaking supported by the Church of the Brethren, Mennonite Church Canada and USA and the Friends United Meeting. CPT delegations travel to sites of conflict around the world offering encouragement to communities facing violence; challenge violent structures with nonviolent public witness; meet with human rights workers, community and religious leaders; and advocate for more just government policies whenthey return home. You can work with this organiztaion short term or long term!

Franciscan Volunteer Program (Chicago): A volunteer at the 8th Day Center for Justice would be working to bring change to the community. The 8th Day Center is a coalition of 28 religious orders working for peace and human rights that seeks to live out gospel values by working to change structures that oppress the human community and the environment.
