LATIN AMERICAN POLITICS

This course will analyze the complexity and diversity of contemporary Latin america. The course combines brief case studies of several nations with more depth comparative analysis of broader isseus such democratization, gender, economic development, and indigenous communities. We will also use music, film, and fiction to deepen our understanidng of Latin American culture and its impact on politics.
