Jennifer Dyjak (class of 1996) was acknowledged for her assistance in the preparation of two recently published books: Campaign Warriors: The Role of Political Consultants in Elections (edited by James A. Thurber and Candice J. Nelson) and Crowded Airwaves: Campaign Advertising in Elections (edited by James A. Thurber, Candice J. Nelson, and David A. Dulio). Jennifer has completed her MPA degree at American University. Congratulations, Jennifer!

Gaynor McCown is the executive director of The Teaching Commission. From 1998 to 2002, Ms. McCown was a senior vice president at Edison Schools. Before joining Edison, Ms. McCown was the senior vice president for Education and Workforce Development at the New York City Partnership and Chamber of Commerce. From 1994 to 1996, Ms. McCown served in the Clinton White House as a senior policy analyst and advisor, focusing on education and economic development. In 1993, she was selected as a White House Fellow and served as a special assistant to U.S. Secretary of Education Richard W. Riley. From 1987 to 1993, Ms. McCown was a public high school teacher in New York City. Gaynor recieved a Master's degree in human development from Harvard University and an MBA from Columbia University.
