ND Web Registration Instructions

For Saint Mary’s Students registering for, adding or dropping a Notre Dame Course

COMPLETE THE “INTENT TO REGISTER FOR ND COURSE FORM:    Saint Mary’s students must obtain a Notre Dame time ticket to use web registration.  This must be requested through the Saint Mary’s registrar’s office by completing the Intent to Register for ND Course Form.  Students will be able to review time ticket information (registration time) on insideND (http://inside.nd.edu).  To enter insideND you must have a netID and password.  If you do not have one, see the instructions below.  This information will generally be available 1 week prior to the first day of ND registration.

TO OBTAIN A netID:   To obtain a netID you must go to the following web address: (http://oit.nd.edu/passwords).  Follow the instructions and then login to insideND to register for your class (http://inside.nd.edu).

COURSE WITH PREREQUISITE(S) OR PERMISSION REQUIRED:  If a course you wish to take has a prerequisite, you must take a copy of your Saint Mary’s transcript (official or unofficial) to the department of the course.  If you have met the pre-requisite, the department will place an electronic override on your record.  Once you have this electronic override, you may use web registration to register for the course.  Please provide the department with your ND netID.

If you are planning to register for a class that is “Permission Required,” you will also need to visit the department offering the class and get an electronic override to register for the class.  Please provide the department with your ND netID.

LOGIN TO insideND: (http://inside.nd.edu) Enter your netID and netID password.  Click on the Login button and you will be taken to your insideND page.  On the Student tab, click on the link for Fall/Spring Registration.  No additional information is necessary to validate your session.

Please enter the CRN (course reference number) of the course(s) .  Keep in mind all pre-requisites and other registration restrictions.  If you have already received the overrides from the departments, you should be able to register for the course without problems.
