Mission Statement
Purpose: The purpose of the Straight And Gay Alliance (SAGA) is to foster awareness, promote education, and provide a safe forum for discussion about issues relating to sexuality and gender.
Mission: In keeping with the mission of Saint Mary’s College, the Straight And Gay Alliance (SAGA) has been formed in response to the diverse needs of the Saint Mary’s community. The Straight And Gay Alliance seeks to foster social, political, and intellectual communication among members of the Saint Mary’s community regarding issues relating to sexuality and gender. The Straight And Gay Alliance also seeks to create a support system to aid students as they confront issues and questions relating to sexuality. The Straight And Gay Alliance actively supports and encourages diversity of all kinds in our membership and leadership and encourages campus-wide participation in the events we sponsor.
