Saint Mary's Social Work Majors...

Making a Difference!

I have always been interested in helping people, doing service work, advocating for populations-at-risk, and working towards social and economic justice. Only after I arrived at Saint Mary's did I realize that these interests were the key components of Social Work. I can combine all of my interests and my social work education into a career where I can make a difference.

Saint Mary's Social Work Majors...
Making a Difference!

I want to be a social work, a pediatric medical social worker to be exact. There are numerous reasons why I absolutely love the profession. One of the main reasons is that as a social worker, I get to work with the bio-psychological aspect of people. As social workers, we not only help people with their physical needs, but we also get to help people with their medical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
