Employing a consistent professional style and a coherent organization is important to our users' experience of the Saint Mary's website. We want our web users to regard the Saint Mary's web site and our separate areas of this site as an effectively designed information system--easy to use and thoughtfully organized.

Although the college is the sum of many individual parts, we want visitors to our site to think of the college as a whole; one unit with one voice.

By maintaining consistency in our graphic style and content, we accomplish this task-- whatever the communication form; print, campus signage, or within our own web environment.

The Saint Mary's College Website belongs to ALL of us...

If sections of the site are left unattended and information is out of date, this is a reflection on the college as a whole.

It is our intention that this information guide be viewed as assistance - NOT as a mandate of what you absolutely can and cannot do.

These standards & guidelines have been developed to answer many questions you may have about designing and producing web pages in the Saint Mary's College Web environment.
