FOUNDERS' DAY
You are cordially invited to celebrate Saint Mary's College's study abroad programs at a Wine Tasting to Commemorate Founders' Day!
When: Friday November 13, 2009, 7:00pm
Where: The home of Erin Gibbons '86, 9122 Moors Place, Dublin, OH 43107 Hosted by SMC Columbus Alumnae Club and Book Club
Wine and heavy appetizers from the regions where SMC hosts study abroad programs will be served.
The cost for this event is $22 per person. Please forward your check made out to the Saint Mary's Columbus Alumnae Club to Sheila Robbins '84 at 9790 Lynnfield Place, Pickerington, OH 43147 by November 10, 2009. Receipt of your check will serve as your R.S.V.P.
All proceeds go to the SMC Columbus Alumnae Club scholarship fund. If you are unable to come to the event but would like to make a donation, please contact Adrienne Dorbish Pietropaolo '03 at apietrop@columbus.rr.com.
Book Club:
We will meet Wednesday, September 23rd at 6:00 at the Cheesecake Factory at Polaris to discuss Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. Please rsvp to Christina Orsinelli by emailing corsinelli@yahoo.com

New Email Address
The Columbus Alumnae Club has a new email address, which future information
about the club will be sent. Look for emails with exciting updates
from the Alumnae Club: smccolumbus@yahoo.com.
Dues
It is time once again to collect the ever-important dues. Your dues will
help the club sponsor events throughout the year. Please send us up-to-date
contact information with your dues. Yearly dues are $20. We also offer
lifetime dues $200 for those who graduated prior to 1985 and $250 for
those who graduated after 1985.
Please kindly send your dues checks payable to SMC Alumnae Club of Columbus

OH 43147.
The Columbus Alumnae Club Scholarship
The Columbus Alumnae Club grants a $1000 scholarship to a Central
Ohio student at Saint Mary’s each year. Students learn about
the scholarship through the SMC financial aid office, and SMC decides
who will receive the scholarship each year. This year the scholarship
went to Lindsey Piehl ‘08.
** If you are interested in contributing to our scholarship fund, please
send your donation along with your dues.
Prayer Chain
To provide spiritual support to our fellow alumnae, the Board has decided
to implement a Prayer Chain. Members with special prayer requests or
to become a member of the prayer chain, please contact Lisa Orsinelli
at lorsinelli@yahoo.com or 614-939-5115. Lisa will pass along the request
to the participating members of the Prayer Chain. These members will
then offer a prayer for the person's special request.
