1. Double-click on the OmniPage Pro 10.0 icon.
  2. In OmniPage Pro 10.0 click on the green start button, this will scan the image. Note: this might take a few minutes.
  3. The Save properties automatically come up right after the image is scanned. In order to save first click on the drop down arrow in "Save In" box and choose your home directory.
  4. Once your home directory is selected if you would like to save the image in a particular folder double click on that folder.
  5. In the ÒFile Name:" box type the name you would like to call the file.
  6. Click on the drop down arrow next to "Save As Type" and select the format you would like to save your image as. The most common used type is "Word for Windows 97, 2000 [TP] *.doc", which is Microsoft Word 97 or 2000 format processing program.
  7. Next deselect "Add to PageKeeper" by clicking in the box.
  8. Click the "Ok" button to save the image.
  9. To edit the image place your cursor next to the word you would like to edit in the Text View box (biggest window), and then click the left mouse button to begin editing.
  10. After all editing is done you can proofread the text by selecting "Tools" from the menu and then select "Proofread 0CR". Green highlighted words in your text means that word is misspelled, and red means grammatical error.
  11. In order to save the changes you have made to the text click on "Finish", which is the green circle, and then select "Finish Processing Existing Pages".
  12. The "Save" properties automatically come up when you click on the "Finish Processing Existing Pages". To save click on the name of the file that you called the image and then click on "Ok".
  13. Click on "Yes" to replace the image to save the changes you have made to the document. Your image has been saved.
  14. To scan another image click on the green button that says "Additional". Then select "Add More Pages", and then following the directions starting at #3.
  15. Once you are done exit out of the program by clicking on "File" and then select "Exit".
