Compassionate Listening:
Have you ever talked to someone but realized that you were
not heard? Would you like to learn about an effective way
to resolve conflicts and difficulties when relating to others?
The Center for Women's InterCultural Leadership is offering a three-day intensive workshop on "Compassionate Listening" taught by Leah Green from the international Compassionate Listening Project.
The Compassionate Listening workshop will be held July 11-13, 2005. The three day workshop will begin on Monday, July 11 and the session will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. We also have some housing available. The sessions will be in Stapleton Lounge, LeMans Hall on the Saint Mary's College campus. Cost $75.00 Printable Application form (pdf)
Leah Green, co-founder of the Compassionate Listening Project, describes this workshop as a means for "those wanting to strengthen their skills as peacemakers and cultivate compassion in their daily lives. Compassionate Listening is a powerful tool for reconciliation. It is used to initiate peace-building efforts in conflict at all levels: personal, community, and global, offering insight and healing for all."The workshop will focus on the fundamentals of Compassionate Listening and help you to learn about the ways you can bring this technique into your daily life.
