St. Margaret’s House

Helping Women Help Themselves

This project involves researching what has been and can be done to help people break out of negative behavioral patterns. The evaluation of these findings will help influence programming.

YWCA of St. Joseph County

Reorganizing the Chemical Dependency Treatment Program

Specializes in residential and outreach services for women and children in the areas of chemical dependency, domestic violence, self sufficiency and child care services.

Serves women suffering from abusive relationships, substance abuse or other destructive behaviors.

In June, 2003, the YWCA adopted a 16-step treatment program developed by Charlotte Kasl, Ph.D., which is a modification of the 12-step program but geared to women and is sensitive to diverse cultural issues
