Saint Mary's Home

Saint Mary's College provides an ethics-centered professional and liberal arts education that results in confident, capable women making substantial contributions to society.

Dr. Carol Mooney, President of Saint Mary's, recently stated, "An education based in the liberal arts gives me the ability to cross disciplines and even to experience dramatic career changes with relative ease. There is no doubt that our world needs women who can think clearly, analyze complex problems, and propose clear solutions." From Capitol Hill to Silicon Valley, from the boardroom to the classroom, Saint Mary's graduates effect change in the lives of people, corporations and the nation.

Saint Mary's Graduates are Career Professionals

A survey of recent alumnae shows that 60% have careers in industry, business and government and 22% are attending graduate school. Saint Mary's College is regionally recognized for its outstanding education programs that prepare elementary and secondary teachers for service in communities throughout the nation.

Research shows that women's college graduates attain an achievement level higher than their coeducational counterparts, resulting in more:

    • High level management positions,
    • Careers in science and math, and
    • Graduate careers.
