"Introducing Religious Studies"
**TANDEM** with ENLT 106W
This course introduces the sources and skills required for the study of
religion. As a preparation for responsible theological inquiry, it will
explore faith in its human dimensions and its relevance to the questions
and problems of today. The theme of leadership will focus our
exploration of ways in which religions faith shapes our relation to
ourselves, to others and to the world. Readings will come from the Bible
and contemporary theological texts.
The companion course, ENLT 106W, is a writing-intensive introduction to
literature in which students work toward fulfilling the College's writing
proficiency requirment (the "W"). Reading and writing assignments are
designed to complement those of RLST 201W.
