"Grace: Free & Responsible"
This course explores the God-human relationship which the Christian
tradition describes as grace. It begins with literary expressions of
God's action in human life (poems, short stories, novel). In order to
reflect theologically on the meaning of human freedom and responsibility, we
explore classical texts and church teaching on the relationship of
grace to sin and love in human history. We see how new voices
and world problems raise additional questions about these
themes. Requirements: discussion participation, four 2-page papers,
final paper (5-8 pages).
