What awaits us after death? Questions about the afterlife are among the most basic of those addressed by religions. They're also among the most difficult to address, as they remind us of how limited our knowledge and language are. This course will investigate understandings of the afterlife in a range of theological and artistc works, with a strong focus on Christian perspectives from Scripture to the present.
