Interlibrary
Loan Period and Renewals
In
general, the loan period for books, microforms, etc.
is between two to four weeks. The exact length of time
is set by the lending library, not Saint Mary's.
Please
be sure to return the item on or before the due date
written on the blue paper strap attached to your loan.
Failure to return these items in a timely manner strains
our relationships with other libraries and may jeopardize
our ability to borrow materials for the entire Saint
Mary's community.
If
you find that you will need an item past its due date,
you may request a renewal. Renewals are not guaranteed!
Further, only one renewal period (the length of which
is determined by the lending library) will
be granted per title. If you need a renewal, you must
request it before the initial due date. Renewals
will not be granted for overdue items.
All
items are subject to recall by the lending libraries
at any time. If your item is recalled, you must return
it to the Interlibrary Loan Department as soon as possible.
Your
borrowing privileges may be revoked for non-return
of interlibrary loan materials!
