Where I Live / Omaha / Neighborhood
I Grew Up In / Home
 |
After
I realized a map of my entire identity would be too extensive,
I decided to break it down a bit and get away from me personally.
So the thing I would turn to would be where I live. Luckily
I don't have to account for too much area, seeing as how I've
lived in the same city, actually the same house my entire life.
Yet which areas do I focus on? Naturally I leaned towards the
ones I know the most about. The places I usually go. Still
it's quite a lot of places. Where do I start? The places I
went when I was a kid? High school hang outs? Just my house?
Also
I came across another problem here...right now I am living
8 hours away from this place. I could probably bring it all
out of memory, but frankly I don't have a very good memory.

| So
if I were to do this idea logically I would start with my city,
Omaha, NE. I thought of a couple possibilities here. I though I could
map childhood places like my old school, gymnastics club etc.
I could map out my favorite places. I just really couldn't think
of a creative way to get these accomplished. A way that interested
me at least. Also Omaha is a pretty big place. I could focus on my
part of town, I suppose. I think my main problem here was I would
want to incorporate pictures that I just didn't have and wasn't about
to take a 10 hour road trip to get. |

| So
I could focus down more from Omaha to just my neighborhood,
Trendwood. Ideas for this included my house in relation to neighborhood
friends,
the park or the convenient store we used to ride our bikes to,
the different routes I took home from school when I first started
driving
(I liked
to
drive
when
I
could
get the
car, so sometimes I'd prolong the ride), a map of memories, or just
a layout of my own home. I had a couple ideas for this but alas the
ideas would be rejected. |
