Saint
Mary's College encourages foreign study as an essential
part of a liberal arts education. The Department of Modern
Languages regularly sends its majors, minors and other interested
students to summer, semester or year-long programs in foreign
countries; there is no better way to learn a foreign language
and culture than through the day-to-day experience of life
in a foreign country.
The
Department of Modern Languages sponsors four main programs:
Dijon
Innsbruck
Rome
Seville
In
addition to our main programs, our students have studied
in such cities as: Angers, Paris, Grenoble, Montpelier,
Barcelona and Mexico City.

Study Programs.
The
resources of the Internet make it easier than ever for us
to help you find a foreign-study program that fits your
needs, time and budget. Consultation with your advisor is
required before you go to make sure the program you are
interested in offers courses at the appropriate level for
you so that your credit will transfer back to Saint Mary's
as part of your major or minor requirements, or your general
education electives. The chance to study abroad is one you
don't want to miss as part of your education at Saint Mary's
College.
