SPECIAL TOPICS: FEMINIST THEORY

KEATING

This course examines feminist approaches to political theory, with the goal of providing students with a working knowledge of contemporary feminist approaches to questions regarding democracy, coalition, representation, equality, and citizenship. We will also examine the process of feminist theorizing as a practice. In this class, students will have an opportunity to develop their own questions and to hone their abilities to think critically about a wide range of issues. In order to do so, we will explore, practice, and invent participatory approaches to building and sharing feminist theory.
