Information Technology does not recommend that you forward your Saint Mary's e-mail to any other account.

Saint Mary's e-mail is an official form of communication for the College.

Students are required use their Saint Mary's e-mail account for all e-mail correspondence with Saint Mary's faculty and staff.

Saint Mary's College and Google's Workspace for Education provides all members of the Saint Mary's community with e-mail that is accessible via an Internet connection from anywhere in the world.

    • With Google's Workspace for Education, Saint Mary's students, faculty, and staff can take advantage of unlimited storage space in their e-mail accounts (personal Gmail accounts only provide 15GB of space).
    • Google's Workspace for Education provides helpful productivity and collaboration tools beyond Mail, including Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet.
    • Using your Saint Mary's Google account will simplify the processes for sharing and editing documents, scheduling events, and communicating with other faculty, staff, and students.

You will need to use a web browser (Google Chrome is recommended, and is available for free at www.google.com/chrome) to access Google's Workspace for Education offerings. We are encouraging everyone to use the web interface for Google's apps so all of the features (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Drive, Meet) will be available in one place and will travel with you wherever you go on any device you choose to use. We want people at Saint Mary's to experience and utilize all of the communication and collaboration tools that Google has to offer.

With the exception of mobile devices, Information Technology does not plan to have documentation available for configuring mail clients (including Apple Mail and Microsoft Outlook). We want people to experience all of the communication and collaboration tools that Google has to offer.

For more information on using Google's Workspace for Education, visit http://www.saintmarys.edu/googleapps.
