You can share your ZMail Zimbra calendar with any other person at Saint Mary's using the Zmail Zimbra calendar, allowing them to either view your calendar or be able to edit your calendar.

    1. Visit https://webmail.saintmarys.edu and log in.
    2. Click on the Calendar tab (with an icon that looks like a calendar) to view your calendar.
    3. At the top of the Calendar page, right-click on the first calendar listed (called "Calendar") or on any calendar listed that you wish to share with another person. (Mac users can press the ctrl key on the keyboard while clicking on the calendar they wish to share.)
    4. Select "Share Calendar" from the list.
    5. Select with whom you wish to share your calendar:
    6. Internal Users or Groups (people or groups with a saintmarys.edu e-mail account)

      1. Click the button next to "Internal users or groups."
      2. In the Email: field, enter the Saint Mary's e-mail address of the person you want to share your calendar with. You can choose addresses from the list that appears as you type or type addresses that are not in the list. The user or group must be a valid saintmarys.edu e-mail address. You can enter more than one address in the Email: field by putting a semi-colon (;) between addresses.
      3. In the Role area, selected the access permissions. A Viewer can read but not edit your calendar. A Manager will have the same access to your calendar as you have, including the ability to view, edit, add, and delete items in your calendar.
      4. In the Message area, select which type of message to send. Please select one of the following options:
        1. Send standard message. The standard share notification message is sent to the email address you entered above to let them know you are sharing your calendar with the recipient.
        2. Add a note to standard message. You can add additional information to the standard message. The message is sent to the email address you entered above to let them know you are sharing your calendar with the recipient.

      5. Click OK.
      6. The person you shared your calendar with will receive an e-mail and must accept your invitation to be able to view your calendar. For people to accept access to your shared calendar, they must be using Zimbra's e-mail client to check e-mail. To accept access to your calendar, they must click Accept Share in the e-mail message. The Calendar is added to the person's Calendar list, and the invitation message is moved to their Trash folder.
      7. If a person you wish to share your calendar with is not using Zimbra's e-mail client to check e-mail (i.e., using Thunderbird, Eudora, or Apple's Mail) you should share your calendar using the "External guests" option described below.
      External guests (view only) (any person or group, they do not need a saintmarys.edu e-mail account)

      1. Click the button next to "External guests (view only)." External guests can read but not edit your calendar.
      2. In the Email: field, you want to enter the e-mail address of the person you want to share your calendar with. You can enter more than one address in the Email: field by putting a semi-colon (;) between addresses.
      3. Enter a password that users must enter to view your calendar. This is a password you create and tell them to use. This password should not be the same one you use to access your e-mail!
      4. In the Message area, select which type of message to send. Please select one of the following options:
        1. Send standard message. The standard share notification message is sent to the email address you entered above to let them know you are sharing your calendar with the recipient.
        2. Add a note to standard message. You can add additional information to the standard message. The message is sent to the email address you entered above to let them know you are sharing your calendar with the recipient.

      5. Click OK.
      6. The person you shared your calendar with will receive an e-mail informing them that they now have access to your calendar.
      Public (view only, no password required) (any person or group, they do not need a saintmarys.edu e-mail account)

      1. Click the button next to "Public (view only, no password required)." Public guests can read but not edit your calendar.
      2. When you select Public, anyone who has the URL listed in the box can view your calendar. No password is required.
      3. Click OK.

    To edit or revoke permission to shared calendars (You can revoke permissions at any time.)

    1. Visit https://webmail.saintmarys.edu and log in.
    2. In the left column of the web page, under "Zimbra" there are several icons that look like they are tabs. Click on the third tab down (with an icon that looks like a calendar) to view your calendar.
    3. At the top of the Calendar page, right-click on the first calendar listed (called "Calendar") or on any calendar listed that you have shared with another person.
    4. Select Edit Properties. Users sharing the folder are listed.
    5. In the "Sharing for this folder" box, click Edit to change permissions or click Revoke to remove permissions.
    6. Select whether a message describing the change should be sent.
    7. Click OK.
