Roderick M. Macrae

I am sabbatical replacement for Toni Barstis 2001-2002, teaching Chemistry 311 and 312 courses (Physical Chemistry) and the Chemistry 314L laboratory course as well as some first year labs. Prior to that I spent two years at the Radiation Laboratory of the University of Notre Dame (link below), doing theoretical/computational chemistry mostly related to free radicals. However, I also have another guise - as an experimental muon spin resonance spectroscopist. Here's a picture of me (at the end of the yellow arrow) with Dr. Ivan Reid (left) and Prof. Chris Rhodes (right) during an experiment at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland. Looks like we're having fun, doesn't it? The picture was taken by Chris's PhD student Tim Dintinger, who graduated in 2000.

Also of note: my last few ports of call.
