Reading the timelines.
Each page of a timeline indicates the sequence of tasks
for a particular action or set of related actions for approximately eighteen
months (a limit imposed by the need ot make the documents readable) Page
1 covers January 2002 through May 2003.
The timeline can be magnified (using the controls in the
Acrobat Reader) to make the text easier to read on screen. It can also
be printed (from within the Acrobat Reader).
References to actions use short names and index numbers
taken from the "Action details" documents for the four areas.
These documents can be accessed through the links at the left of this
page.
A "Milestone" is a point at which some activity
is to be completed.
A "Dependency" indicates the necessity for completion of another
activity (on another timeline) before the marked activity can be carried
out.
A "Cross-reference" indicates necessity for coordination with
another activity (usually on antoher timeline)
The dates should be read as approximations, since the sequencing
of activities is the critical issue. Some activities have been completed,
and some will take longer than anticipated - but the sequence is unlikely
to change
