There will be a majority of faculty on the task force. Six faculty members are to be added: four from disciplines that are heavily involved in general education, two from disciplines that are not (with no more than one member from any academic department). For maximum breadth in representation, half of these members will be elected by the Faculty Assembly and half will be appointed.

There will be three student representatives appointed by student government and drawn from the Student Academic Council: one with a major in either arts and letters or social sciences, one with a major in mathematics or science, and one with a major in one of the professional programs.

The Vice President and Dean of Faculty is a nonvoting member of the task force.
