Elizabeth Gansler I chose Social Work as a major because I love working with people. This program will prepare me to help the populations that are at the greatest risk. It is special because it offers me the opportunity to gain experience in the community instead of just taking classes. |

Jessica Jarvis I chose Social Work because it is the perfect integration of all my interests - Psychology, Sociology, and saving the world. It's such a rewarding field overall, and here at Saint Mary's I get to work with some incredible professors and an amazing program that will let me apply for advanced standing in graduate school! |

Amy Rohm I am Amy Rohm and I am a junior social work major. I am interested in advocacy, especially dealing with policy. I enjoy working with families and being a positive influence in someone's life. I plan to go on to graduate school and narrow my topic of study. I love being a social work student because it combines all of my job interests and hobbies into a major with potential for growth.

Anne Rueth I chose social work because it is a profession in which I can truly make a difference in the world. I believe that the Saint Mary's program is preparing me to be a leader in my field and community by providing me with knowledgeable professors and mentors and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in area agencies. |

Mary Anne Schell I love the Social Work profession because it encompasses such a diverse composition of careers within it. So even when I graduate from SMC, I don't really have to know what I want to do for the rest of my life. I love it's flexibility. |

Kimberly Smith I'm Kimberly Smith and I'm from Carol Stream, IL. I chose Saint Mary's because it has a comfortable atmosphere. And I chose to be a social work major because I want to change the world, right the wrongs, correct all the injustices. I am very idealistic and I hope that I can be a voice for those who cannot speak. I know that I chose social work because it is a rewarding field and one that is flexible and full of opportunity. |
