Obscene or Harassing Calls
if you receive obscene or harassing phone calls, hang up at the very first word or if your greeting goes unanswered. Do not give the caller the satisfaction of showing your reaction. You can discourage callers by following these recommendations:
- Don't attempt to be clever to callers.
- Hang up immediately if you hear an obscene or improper question.
- Report continued obscene and/or harassing phone calls to Security at once.
To report obscene or harassing calls contact Security at extension 5000. File a report with an officer.
Making obscene or harassing phone calls is an Indiana state and federal offense punishable with fines up to $1000 and imprisonment for up to 180 days.
