Belles Win Benedictine Invitational; Gray Takes Individual Crown
LISLE, IL – The Saint Mary’s cross country squad won the Benedictine Invitational with a score of 40 while Megan Gray ran the 6K course in 23:59 to claim the individual title.
The Belles placed three runners in the top 10 lead by Gray’s first place finish. Sam Wieczorek was fifth overall with a time of 25:21 while Catie Salyer placed ninth, running the course in 26:00.
Megan McClowry (26:15) and Olenka Bilyk (26:35) rounded out the scoring runners for Saint Mary’s as they placed 11th and 14th respectively.
It is the second team championship this season for the Belles after claiming the Thunder Invitational the first weekend of September.
