Box Score (pdf)

ALBION, Mich. - The bounces were not going the Belles' way as the Saint Mary's College basketball team fell 95-63 to Albion on Saturday.

The Belles had a difficult time trying to get things going against the Britons and were unable to recover.  Kelley Murphy hit a jumper with 13:14 to go in the first half to make the game 10-7 in favor of Albion, but the Britons then responded with a 20-2 run to go up 30-9 with 8:02 left in the half.  In spite of taking more shots than Albion and strong offensive rebounding, the Belles were unable to make run and the Brits took a 42-22 lead at the break.

Saint Mary's shot better in the second half (14-of-37, 37.8%) than they did in the first half (7-of-34, 20.6%), but so did Albion (43.3% in the first half; 65.2% in the second) as the Brits maintained at least a 21 point lead throughout the second 20 minutes of game time.

Erin Newsom led the Belles with 15 points and added nine rebounds in the loss.  Jessica Centa had a season-high 13 points while Liz Wade and Katie Rashid each added 11 points.
