Dalrymple Earns All-MIAA Honor

ROYAL OAK, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced its All-MIAA selections for men's and women's swimming on Wednesday afternoon. Among the 19 women honored by the league this year is Saint Mary's College freshman Audrey Dalrymple.

Dalrymple had an outstanding first year with the Belles. At the MIAA Championships in February, she was part of five new school records. She was a part of the 200 and 400 yard medley relays that established new school records. Individually, Dalrymple set new records in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke events as well as the 200 individual medley.

Her time in the 200 yard breaststroke of 2:21.16 was a provisional NCAA B cut time and is also among the 15 fastest times among all NCAA Division III swimmers. As such, she will be the first swimmer in College history to compete at the NCAA Division III Championships hosted by Macalester College March 18-21, 2009 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

Dalrymple becomes just the second freshman and fourth athlete from Saint Mary's to earn All-MIAA honors in swimming.
