Belles Pick Up Dual Win Over Scots
ALMA, Mich. -- The Saint Mary's College swimming and diving team earned a dual meet victory over MIAA foe Alma College by a 167-104 margin on Saturday.
The Belles took top honors in 11 of the first 13 events to earn enough points for the win through the 100 butterfly.
Maggie Williams, Audrey Dalrymple, and Lauren Hartman all had strong performances to lead the Belles against the Scots. The three were part of the 200 yard medley relay that won the afternoon's first even to set the tone early for Saint Mary's.
Williams went on to take top finishes in the 100 yard backstroke in 1:03.66 and the 200 yard backstroke in 2:21.67. Dalrymple took the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:10.27 and the 100 yard butterfly in 1:03.89. The freshman also had the best time in the 400 yard IM with a 4:53.44. Hartman took the 50 free in 26.82 and the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:44.67.
The Belles will next travel to Wabash College for the Patrick Woehnker Invitational November 21 and 22 in Crawfordsville, Ind.
