Belles Finish Four Shots Behind Comets at Jamboree

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Rosie O'Connor shot a 78 to tie for the best finish of the day to lead the Belles to a second place finish with a 331 at the third MIAA Jamboree hosted by Calvin College.

The sophomore shared the medalist honors with Olivet's Lindsay Pipkin.  Olivet took the top finish with a 327.

Freshman Jackie Dill turned in the best round of her young campaign by finishing with an 80 to claim a fourth place finish.  Perri Hamma had a solid day, carding an 86 for the Belles' third finishing golfer.

Freshmen Natalie Matuszak and Christine Brown rounded out the scoring five for the Belles at Thornapple Pointe with an 87 (t-19) and a 90 (t-29), respectively.  

Meredith Fantom, who competed as a non-scoring individual, also had an impressive day by finishing with an 85 to tie for 12th.

The Belles will have one more MIAA Jamboree, which is hosted by Adrian College, before the MIAA Championship.  The Adrian Jamboree will take place at Lenawee Country Club next Tuesday, September 30.
