Belles Defeat Saints in Season Opener

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Saint Mary's College tennis team began the 2009 season with a 9-0 decision over St. Francis (Ill.) on Sunday as new head coach Dale Campbell got his first collegiate coaching victory.

After taking a commanding lead through the doubles portion of the day, all six singles players for Saint Mary's won their matches in straight sets.  Jessica Kosinski, Betsy Reed, and Jessica Camp only surrendered a single set in their matches.

The Belles will take to the courts twice Monday as they take on Aquinas and Bethel (Tenn.).
