SMC vs. Trine

Belles Get Back on Track with Win Over Trine

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Saint Mary's College tennis team took little time taking a 9-0 win over conference foe Trine University on Monday at the Eck Tennis Pavilion at the University of Notre Dame.

On the day, the Belles only dropped 12 sets while six of the nine matches saw Saint Mary's win without surrendering a single set.

Jessica Camp and Mary Therese Lee set the tone early in the afternoon by taking their #3 doubles competition faster than any of the other doubles matches with an 8-0 score.  Jillian Hurley and Camille Gebert followed suit with their own 8-0 decision at #1 doubles.

Jessica Kosinski, Betsy Reed, Franca Peluso, and Jessica Camp each won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0 to more than secure a win for the Belles.

Saint Mary's (7-8, 2-3 MIAA) will next travel to Hope College for a dual match against the Flying Dutch on Wednesday, April 22.  The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
