Purcell Athletic Fields

Ground was broken on April 17, 2015 for the Purcell Athletic Fields project. Through the generosity of Patricia Wiedner Purcell ’69 and her husband Paul, the fields feature:

  • a new soccer field
  • renovated lacrosse and softball fields
  • lights and press boxes at each venue
  • a facility with concessions, restrooms, and an athletic training room

The venue was completed in April 2016 with the first competition taking place on the newly renovated softball field on April 30, 2016. The soccer team then opened their Fall 2016 season with a 4-1 win over Manchester on September 2. The lacrosse team christened their new field with a 16-10 win over Ohio Northern on March 25, 2017.
