Cross Country Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much will campers run each day?
A: Campers should plan to run every day. At least one of our sessions per day will incorporate a training run or workout session. During these sessions, the distance run is dependent on the level of the athlete. At a minimum, campers should be able to handle running 1-2 miles every day of camp, regardless of pace. Last year our long run with our campers was 5 miles.

Q: Do I need to be on a track or cross country team to come to camp?
A: No. If you have a passion for running and want to become a better runner, come to camp! Please come prepared to run every day in order to get the most out of our camp.

Q: What shoes should I wear/bring to camp?
A: For all of our sessions please make sure your shoes are appropriate for running on uneven surfaces (grass, hills, etc). They do not need to be expensive (or 100% running) shoes but should offer support and fit well.
